Clean up your neighborhood

With the huge amount of foreclosures around the country in your neighborhood, you could make a lot of money. Try contacting banks or owners of homes that are for rent in your area and contracting clean up work. They will pay you to maintain the grounds and clean out the inside. There is big money in this. Several people use craigslist.com to advertise their services but you will do better by calling them directly.

If you have a property that you need cleaned out, post your e mail address so that my viewers can locate you.

ARM loans sometimes work

If you are living in an area where property value is below the ground, then an ARM may work for you in 2009. I actually have an ARM on one of my rental properties (I know what you're thinking, how dangerous) but my rate is down to 5%. I watch rates several times a year so when things look bad, maybe I'll fix. Also you have to pick a good ARM. My arm can only go up 1%. Do you research but maybe an ARM is for you.

Interest Rates

We are ending 2008 and for many people this means that there interest rate will be going up in a matter of days. Please call your mortgage company and attempt to haggle. Banks need the business and they don't want you to go into foreclosure. They don't want your house, they will make more money keeping you there and collecting your mortgage payment. Try to get a better rate or get out of that ARM. There are government programs available to help you get on top of your mortgage payment. Please leave comments with experiences and banks that you recommend.

Section 8

Even if you are not interested in renting your home to a person that is on public assistance, you should still place ads on public assistance websites such as www.socialserve.com. Many potential tenants search these websites because they know the home has to be in good condition to get government funds. They are also looking for good deals on rent. Share your experiences with renting out your home to Section 8 tenants. If you are a Section 8 tenant share your experiences with landlords.

Oh no I have to relocate!

You go to work on Monday and the boss asks you to come to his office. The blood rushes to your head and your hands become clammy. You walk into the office and sit down. Your boss has a crooked smile then tells you, “Congratulations you got the job in Timbuktu.” First you’re excited and shaking hands and ready to pop champagne. Then you realize what moving to Timbuktu really means.

What will you do with your home? Share your experiences in moving in a hurry.

I may lose my house!

2008 has shown the greatest number of foreclosed homes in history. Don’t let this happen to you. If you are in a situation where you feel like you will not be able to afford your home, renting out your property may be a solution. If you are in danger of losing your home, first attempt to refinance to get a fixed rate. Share your experiences with financing right now during the recession. How are the banks treating you? Will you get a chance to rent it out before you go into foreclosure? If you are a loan officer, leave your contact information so that my readers can get in contact with you.
